As the founder of Stoner Benefit Advisors, Mark Stoner brings a refreshingly personal and transparent approach to employee benefits. An independent broker representing all major carriers in the States he represents. Mark’s specialty lies in one key area many overlook—employee education.

With a background in accounting and an early career selling voluntary benefits, Mark quickly realized there was a better way to serve businesses and their teams. That insight became the foundation of his business model: on-site, education-first support that ensures employees not only receive great benefits, but also understand how to use them. Whether it’s navigating a hospital bill, adding a dependent, or explaining how ICHRA plans work, Mark is hands-on and detail-driven. He personally tracks plan changes, manages renewals, and holds staff meetings to walk employees through their options—so no one is left saying, “No one ever explained that to me.” Mark’s mission is simple: A healthier, informed employee is a more productive one. That’s why clients turn to him not only for comprehensive benefit solutions but also for support when billing issues or coverage questions arise—he makes the complex simple, without the legalese. Beyond his work, Mark is deeply involved in his community. He serves as Chair of the Charitable Trust for the Rotary Club of Columbia/Patuxent, supports Neighbor Ride, and actively participates in various local fundraisers throughout Howard County. Much of his business comes from long-standing relationships developed through service and trust. With quarterly check-ins, CRM-based tracking, and a commitment to clear communication, Mark ensures clients are never left in the dark.
